Friday 17th February & Sunday 19th February - The Albany Theatre Fundraising Gala

The Albany Theatre are hosting a fundraising Gala to support the children that Coventry sends every year to the International Children’s Games, to be held this year in Kaunus, Lithuania. It’s always a life-changing opportunity and one that given funding cuts is at risk. We have two shows – on Friday 17th and Sunday 19th February 2017. The Friday show is the main fundraising event. All tickets are £30. Tickets for the Sunday show are £10 and £7 concessions. This approach is both to raise as much money as we can and to give everyone the chance to see the show. We expect tickets to go quickly. We are not talking a penny from the box office proceeds ourselves.

Primarily, this is a chance to enjoy some of the best young talent around – details are on our website. Alternatively, it could be a great way for organisations to reward employees for the work they do: a thank you like this always has a great motivating effect, and that will be reinforced because it is such a good cause. Or people can make a donation and in effect buy some tickets that we will then distribute to some of the hundreds of looked-after children in the city and their carers. In this way, a little money will go a long way and touch many children.

To buy tickets, patrons should go online to http://albanytheatre.co.uk/childrens-games-gala. If people would like to donate they are asked to contact Rebecca Finley - rebecca.finley@albanytheatre.co.uk.
